Staging Makes the Difference

Within the first few moments of walking into a home, prospective buyers form an impression and know whether they want to buy the house or not. This initial reaction can make the difference between a swift sale and a house that languishes on the market.

So when you are getting your home ready to sell, what can be done to encourage a quick ‘yes’ from buyers? To gain the advantage the home must look superior to the competition. It needs to be in ‘showcase’ condition, with all the architectural features shown to the best advantage. For that reason, many realtors and sellers utilize staging services as an indispensable tool in marketing homes.

What is ‘staging’?
Home staging is a unique ‘design to sell’ technique using furnishings, artwork and accessories to create a visual experience and a feeling of emotional warmth that will appeal to the widest range of people. As the seller, your goal is for prospective buyers to imagine themselves living in your house. Staging will showcase your home and it's features.

The following two pictures are the same room. The first picture is before staging and the second is the final results after completion of staging. The smallest details make the biggest impact when it comes to ensuring that your home will sell and that you will get top dollar.




After Staging

Staging has become the secret weapon of real estate agents and their savvy clients because the ultimate goal of staging is getting the house sold at the best possible price in the least amount of time. Any house, regardless of price or location will show better when staged. Homebuilders and retailers have been successfully using this technique for years. Research shows model homes sell faster than vacant homes and typically sell for more.


My job is to look at your home through the buyer’s eyes. A fresh set of eyes that can see not only what needs to be changed, but what does not need to be changed.

There are two fundamental things to remember as we are preparing your home for sale:
“The way you live in a home and the way you sell a home are two very, different things” and “You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression”.
