This week we visited the lovely patio at the Whistle Stop Ale House after a leisurely stroll through the Renton Farmers Market. This family owned neighborhood pub has been around since 1995. They are known for their amazing staff and great food. They aren’t kidding! Our waitress, Sarah, was awesome and friendly. We had a beer (it is an Ale House and that seems appropriate) and the Toasted Pesto Bread. Both were delicious. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 Days a week. This family friendly restaurant offers Kids Eat Free on Monday nights and the next Brewers Night featuring Hale's Brewery is on July 12, 6-9pm. They are located in downtown Renton on the corner of 4th and Williams. Check it out.

Draw up a purchase offer with detailed contingencies in place
Seller accepts the deal or counteroffers with contingencies and price changes of their own
Submit your deposit, also known as "earnest money"
Apply for your loan if you aren't already pre-approved
Have the home inspected by a licensed home inspector
Get the house appraised
Perform a title search, buy title insurance, and homeowners insurance, as required by your lender
According to the Wall Street Journal, Mortgage financing giant Freddie Mac has announced it will offer low-cost loans to multifamily property owners who keep their buildings affordable to middle-class families. Landlords will receive lower interest rates if they agree to make the majority of their units affordable for tenants who earn 80 percent or less of the area's median income. The units also must remain affordable for the term of the loan, which typically spans about a decade. To launch the program, Freddie will back $500 million in loans to the Bridge Investment Group, which is a landlord with a portfolio of about 30,000 apartments around the country. Welcome to summer! Steve and I are kicking off the summer solstice with a new series on our Favorite Renton Patios! It’s also the perfect way to schedule a date night once a week and then tell you about our favorite neighborhood finds. This summer we will feature restaurants with patios and report back what we learn. We are kicking off the series at the lovely Maplewood Golf Course’s River Rock Grill. Beautiful patio with live music Friday and Saturday nights. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and bruschetta. Both were delicious. Daily happy hour is from 2-6pm. Check it out.
