Agent Training Class: Setup Your Social Media Accounts!

This class we covered how to set up and post/share on: 

  • Business Facebook 

  • LinkedIn Profile 

  • Google + and YouTube 

  • Pinterest 

Below are the steps for setting up a page on each site. 

Facebook:  

  • Go to the dropdown arrow on the top right hand corner of the page and select "Create Page" 

  • Choose "local business" and select real estate from the dropdown 

  • Fill out the information in the spaces and click "get started" 

  • From there, you'll be taken to categories. Select "Real Estate Agent" and leave the subcategories as they are  

  • Below, fill out your bio. Broader is better! You only have 155 characters 

  • You can also include the link for your personal website or your page on The Cascade Team website. 

  • There will be a space with facebook.com/ and a blank, fill it in based on what your Facebook URL to be 

  • It will take you to a place to choose your profile picture 

  • From there it will take you to "Add Favorites". This is not required 

  • Upload a cover picture. Canva is a great place to find cover photos specifically for Facebook, but Google images works well too.  

  • The Access tab on the left hand tab allows you to add other users to edit your page 

  • The Reviews tab is great to send to your clients after a transaction is complete. You can also ask Allison to transfer reviews on Facebook to The Cascade Team's site! 

  • In the "what's on your mind?" Space, you can paste links to blog posts, select photos to display, and post them to your page. 

  • Boosting allows you to boost a post to many more users. It asks for a credit card, an audience, and duration. 

  • You can invite friends to view your page. 

Pinterest: 

  • Make a profile if you don’t have one  

  • Go to My Profile 

  • Select create board and fill out info accordingly 

  • Or select a current board and select "Save a Pin", "From the web", and post  

 

LinkedIn and Google+ 

  • Paste Urls into status  

 

General Tips:  

  • Be Authentic. 

  • Follow a 50-30-20 rule: 50% other sources, 30& business, 20% personal 

  • Don’t underestimate Pinterest; it's The Cascade Team's number 4 platform for listings! 

  • Post often and keep LinkedIn updated
