I have found that when you are looking for new home chances are you have arrived at that decision in one of two ways.
Either, you have outgrown your existing home or circumstances have changed that have prompted the decision e.g. noisy neighbors, divorce, or are moving location due to employment. Whichever the reason the road ahead could be stressful to say the least.
So my plan to make life a little easier would be to make a wish list.
What type of home would be more comfortable – how many bedrooms, bathrooms, a pool, parking spaces. Once you have made your list check off each in order of importance. Perhaps the pool is more important than a large back yard.
Do you need to live within walking distance of shops, restaurants or do you want a wide open space.
Remember to include any interests you have. Relaxation is an important part of life so if you like hiking, tennis or working out at the gym make sure that you have incorporated those activities on your list.
If you have children, which school do they attend presently and also requirements in the future.
Animals too have a consideration on our list, back yard or park nearby.
A commute to and from your place of employment will be a major factor. No one wants to spend an hour each way to and from work or to sit in traffic in a heavily congested area.
Having made your list now consider how much money you want to spend on your home and how to fund your new acquisition. It may mean changes to your wish list.
These simply ideas are only a few ways I can help you track down your dream home without too much stress.
