Could There Be Fraud Happening in the ARCH Program at Issaquah Highlands?
I have sold numerous ARCH homes in the Issaquah Highlands and it seems like some homeowners are breaking the rules in order to rent out their units. This program is specially meant for those that cannot afford housing in the area and now appears that some homeowners are abusing the program. When purchasing an ARCH home owners must agree to particular rules and regulations. In addition to signing paperwork you must show information like W2's, tax returns, etc to make sure you qualify. It specifically states that this must be your primary residence and that no rentals are allowed. The rules are quite strict and even had a particular situation where I was selling a unit last year, the buyer made 2000 dollars more than the allotted amount and was denied. Hearing this was surprising to me because there seems to be so much due diligence on the front end I am wondering who is monitoring things after the home closes. It appears now homeowners are being forced to sell their units to be in compliance.
