For the eight year, The Cascade Team Real Estate is kicking off Project Crayon Drive. For the young who find themselves at Children’s Hospital of Seattle along with their families, sometimes the simple things like a coloring book and a few crayons can be as soothing as the trained staff and smiling doctors. Yet, something as simple as crayons often goes overlooked. Each year, Children’s Hospital goes through over 240,000 crayons, yet each child only gets a couple to use. 

And that’s where The Cascade Team — in partnership with Children’s Hospital Guild Association and several area merchants — comes in. Throughout the month of April, agents from The Cascade Team will be walking neighborhoods and spreading the word about Project Crayon Drive.

Various crayon drop-off events will be held on weekends throughout the month of April area. Event locations include Caffé Ladro in the Issaquah Highlands, The IGA Grocery store at Snoqualmie Ridge, the Safeway store in Sammamish and the QFC in Klahanie. Other area drop-off locations are the QFC in North Bend, Sterling Savings Bank in Issaquah, Local Axia Home Loans branches and Shannon Escrow in Bellevue.

The Cascade Team Real Estate was founded in 2006 in Issaquah by Cary Porter and Doug Young.  Since then the team has grown to six offices in three states (Issaquah, the Issaquah Highlands, Bellevue, Seattle in Washington, San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona) and approximately 150 agents.

During the month of April we are pleased to be holding our Annual Crayon Drive for Children's Hospital.  This year we are please to announce that we had added both Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego and Phoenix Children's Hospital.  We are hoping for a record donation this year, so please be sure to pick up some crayons for our donation drive.  We will be announcing drop off points within the next few weeks.
