Help us Brighten a Child's Life!

For the 12th year, The Cascade Team is once again hosting Project Crayon Drive this April! For the young who find themselves at Seattle Children’s Hospital, sometimes the simple things like a coloring book and a few crayons can be as soothing as the trained staff and smiling doctors. Yet, something as simple as crayons often goes overlooked. Each year, Children’s Hospital goes through over 240,000 crayons, but each child only gets a couple to use.

And that’s where The Cascade Team — in partnership with the Children’s Hospital Guild Association and several area merchants — comes in. Throughout the month of April, agents from The Cascade Team will be walking neighborhoods and spreading the word about Project…

FIVE REASONS TO SELL YOUR HOUSE WITH NW REAL ESTATE - THE CASCADE TEAM

In today's market there is plenty of chatter about how strong the market it, how little inventory is and how hard it is for buyer's to find a home. This isn't the case at all though many potential sellers are being pulled by online advertising that speaks to how easy and simple it is. Let's be clear, it's not that easy and not that simple.

Others are being pulled by agents representing full price brokerages through promises of services we either offer at no additional cost or that they say 'they are paying for' but in reality the client is paying for that added service in the…

Toured the limited inventory available in Snoqualmie Ridge this week with two agents on my team. Great to get out there and see the homes in the area. Some sellers/listing agents are seemingly trying to take advantage of tight inventory by pricing homes at lofty prices hoping that the demand will attract that one buyer. It's one pricing strategy but it may not be the best as it can really get a seller in a 'tight' market anxious as they see their house sit on the market for longer than others homes that have gotten under contract quickly and closed. There is also the letdown of not getting the multiple offer situation that many hear about. They can also be letdown by receiving below asking price offers when they might have had it in their…

The Cascade Team Real Estate would like to take a moment to say that it is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to the Issaquah Press and family of papers. Over the years we have done a lot of advertising with The Issaquah Press Group from our Open House Treasure Hunt, Mobile App, and more.  The Issaquah Press, Sammamish Review, SnoValley Star and Newcastle have also been a wonderful partner in helping promote community events such as Project Crayon Drive, YMCA Halloween Events in Sammamish and Snoqualmie, and also the Free Horse Drawn Carriage Rides and Santa photos in Issaquah, Snoqualmie and Sammamish.

More than that, they have also been great community members promoting stories that matter and relate directly to the communities they feature.…

This latest article by Dana McCall in Living Snoqualmie is already stirring up a myriad of mixed emotions from those who live in and around Snoqualmie from the Ridge to Valley. Read Dana's full article below and add your thoughts to the discussion.

Last week I did a blog about how incredibly low the inventory was/is in Snoqualmie Ridge, Fall City and North Bend (http://nwrealestate.thecascadeteam.com/blog/hows-the-inventory-snoqualmie-north-bend-and-fall-city.html). This week I wanted to put some interactive charts behind my numbers to really give a visual to people about just how low inventory is relative to a year ago. 2016 proved to be a record year with where sales prices reached. Much of it was driven by the extremely low inventory that was available throughout the year. You'll be surprised where the trend is heading into 2017 compared to where it was in 2016 and what that can potentially mean for the market in the year ahead and what it could mean for you if you choose to make this the year to…
