I live in south Snohomish with my boyfriend of 11 years – Chris Avery.  We are now ‘empty nesters’ as all our 4 children are in college or living on their own.  I left Microsoft about a year ago after working there for 17 years.  I wanted to leave the stress and long-hour position and take a break to decide what to do next.  This last year  I have been doing remodeling projects, sold and bought a condo and took some time to relax.  I have always loved looking and investing in real estate so thought getting my real estate license would be a great second career for me to pursue.  Now that I have my license I am excited to start with the Cascade Team!

For the first time in nearly two years, the Seattle area no longer leads the nation in home price increases. The monthly Case-Shiller home price index, released Tuesday, showed Las Vegas now claims the title as the nation’s hottest housing market.

The Case-Shiller numbers don’t reflect the full scope of the slowdown however, do in large part to the fact that it includes a three-month moving average through June (things have cooled even more since then), and also because it reflects the entire metro area (Pierce and Snohomish counties haven’t slowed down quite as much as King).
